The Cubs had jumped to an early 4-0 lead in the first inning, thanks to a Grand Slam by Hack Wilson. Jimmy Dykes led off with a single and Foxx followed with a towering blast to left field, sending the home crowd into a frenzy and capping off a remarkable comeback for the A’s.
